Our Team

Lauren Manders

Lauren grew up playing and competing in many different sports. While competitive swimming was her main focus for nearly 15 years and after competing in University in first year, she made the switch to full time triathlon and has never looked back.

She qualified for her first Age Group World Championships in 2017 in Rotterdam, Netherlands where she placed 35th. She moved to New Zealand in 2019 for Teachers College and took a short break from competing to finish school, travel and obtain her Level 1 Adult Community Triathlon Coaching Certification. In 2023, after training under the coaching of Luke, Lauren placed 17th at World Championships in Germany. While this was a great outcome, she and Luke knew they had unfinished business. Most recently, and most proudly, Lauren finished 1st in Canada and 10th in the world at World Championships in Spain in October of 2024.

Lauren works as a teacher in Stratford and has been managing marketing tasks for various businesses in Canada.

She is excited to welcome you to her cycling classes soon at the Performance Academy. These classes will be individualized to each athletes' level and ability; all are welcome here!
